Rolex GMT master Pepsi 1961 PAN AM Eagle beak with full set ( A rare watch )

Firstly note we are watch dealers of distinction with over 50 years experience and two generations in the field of Horology. Here for your consideration today we offer this outstanding vintage Rolex of which some will consider as the Holy Grail of watches.  Here is the very early edition 1961 Rolex model number 1675 GMT Master the PAN AM Pepsi. This watch really is a Unicorn because it is on the change over years from the first 1958 model Ref 6542 with Bakelite bezel. This watch contains the 1560 calibre that was only produced from 1959 to 1965.  This calibre only ran for 6 years. This particular watch was manufactured in 1961 and the case has the very early crown guard that was released in 1959 known as the Eagle Beak. In Layman’s terms the official release date of the Rolex 1675 GMT Master PAN AM ( Pepsi ) with red & blue aluminium bezel insert, Crown guard, Convex glass, 1560 automatic calibre was 1959. Very low numbers were produced in these early years.  The watch we offer here that was manufactured in 1961 and registered in 1962, is a one previous owner watch worn and cared for by the same person, who kept all of its original box and paperwork up until his passing. This watch has just been released from probate of his late estate and we are proud to be it’s new owner and excited to offer someone the chance to own this beautiful time piece.  Please study the photos which are part of the description. On to the description & condition report, let’s address firstly that this watch has always been sent to Rolex Ad for any service works throughout the years and we have a few service cards with the watch.  The last service was carried out in 2022 by Rolex Winsor Bishop of Norwich.  Note they decided to use new hands new from Rolex archive old stock.  These are exchange units and we have full documentation of this service.  Amazingly and so very rare to find this watch has been so very cared for throughout its life by the owner and Rolex AD and still having all original paperwork etc.  Original GMT master box with later added insert cushion, original GMT master booklet, all original chronometer certs, three service cards. My conclusion, this watch is a testament to one of the most iconic Rolex watches in the world, is in lovely condition and is as original as it can be, along with its original riveted bracelet.  The watch also has a later oyster bracelet supplied by Rolex. What can one say…simply a beautiful vintage Rolex watch at the highest level.  Viewing of this watch is strictly by appointment only.
